The March for Life is taking place in Washington, and Vance will make his first public appearance since its founding
Thousands of pro-life activists are expected to descend on Washington, DC, on Friday for the annual March for Life, with organizers saying they look forward to working with President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance to “dismantle the anger and unpopularity of the Biden Administration’s abortion agenda.”
Vance is scheduled to speak at the event, which will be his first public appearance since being sworn into office earlier this week. It begins at noon local time with a rally at the Washington Monument.
“We are thrilled that Vice President Vance has chosen the National March for Life to make his first public appearance in his new role — a symbol of his commitment to protecting health,” said March for Life President Jeanne Mancini and March for Life President-elect Jennie Bradley Lichter. in a joint statement.
“President Trump has governed as a pro-life president in his first term which has led to a long list of accomplishments. We look forward to working with him and Vice President Vance as they dismantle the Biden Administration’s pro-abortion agenda and win again. On board for vulnerable unborn children and their mothers, ” they added.

“Even with the wonderful blessing of the repeal of Roe v. Wade, which allows more freedom at the federal level to enact pro-life laws, the work necessary to build a culture of life in the United States of America is far from over,” March for Life organizers said.
“The goal of the national March for Life is not only to change laws at the federal and state level, but to change the culture to ultimately make abortion unthinkable,” they added.
Organizers expect around 150,000 people to attend this year’s event.
