Trump announces other nominees, including Devin Nunes, Troy Edgar and Bill White

President-elect Donald Trump he appointed several others on Saturday to hold various positions in his second term.

Truth Social CEO Devin Nunes was named chairman of Trump’s Intelligence Advisory Board (IAB), IBM executive Troy Edgar was named deputy secretary of Homeland Security, and Bill White was chosen as ambassador to Belgium.

Nunes, if confirmed, will lead the IAB, which advises the president on the legality of foreign intelligence operations.

“As he continues his leadership of the Trump Media & Technology Group, Devin will use his experience as Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, and his key role in exposing the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, to provide me with an independent assessment of the effectiveness and legitimacy of US Intelligence operations. Community,” Trump said in the announcement.

Trump also nominated Edgar as his deputy Homeland Security Secretary.

“Troy served me as Chief Financial Officer and Associate Deputy Under Secretary of the Homeland Security Administration, where he did an outstanding job managing their $90 billion budget, providing critical immigration policy, and funding the construction of the Wall,” Trump said.

“Troy is currently an executive at IBM. He has an MBA and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Southern California,” said Trump. “He was previously the Mayor of Los Alamitos, California, where he helped me lead a City-by-City uprising against Sanctuary Cities in 2018.”

If the two are confirmed, Edgar will work alongside South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, who has been nominated by Trump to lead the Secretary of the Department of the Interior.

And on Saturday afternoon, Trump announced that businessman and major political donor White will serve as the US ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium.

White is the founder and CEO of Constellations Group, a Manhattan-based consulting firm, and previously served as president of the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum in New York.

“Bill is a highly respected businessman, philanthropist, author, and advocate for our Nation’s Military, Veterans, and first responders. He is the CEO of Constellations Group, and former President of the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum,” Trump said.

“Bill has worked tirelessly to support the Great American Patriots who have given their all for our Country by raising $1.5 billion dollars for our dead, critically wounded, and severely burned service members. He is a two-time recipient of the Meritorious Public Service Award. Award for outstanding service from the US Coast Guard, and outstanding support from the US Navy.”

White was a major donor to Trump and involved in his 2024 campaign, although the billionaire investor supported former President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton in previous races.
