Marie posted on the Tampa Bay Fishing Club’s Facebook page wanting to see if anyone would take her son, Stash, fishing on a boat for the first time since he is a single parent and charter quotes were out of his price range.
“To be honest I wasn’t expecting much from the post, but I was blown away by the number of amazing people who gave and commented,” Marie told Fox News Digital via email.

Stash landed a 30 inch snook that he was able to bring home with his mom to cook.
“If he could, he would be fishing every day, all day, and teach himself everything he knows by watching YouTube videos and tutorials,” said Marie.
On the charter, Young helped teach Stash a few new fishing techniques.
