Apparently, president-elect Donald Trump’s run is all about revenge.

The 78-year-old man won the election earlier this month, which is the second time he has been honored for running the country in three rounds of elections.

However, Stephen A. Smith said that this is all because he did not own an NFL team nearly ten years ago.

Smith said Trump actually told him he would run for president if his bid for the Buffalo Bills didn’t come true at that time.

“He called me in 2014. This is a true story… He says, ‘Stephen A., I’m trying to buy Buffalo Bills.’ The price tag was $1.4 billion.

“He said, ‘Stephen A., if these mothers—-who get in my way’ – talking about NFL owners – ‘these mothers—- get in my way, I’m going to take them all back. ‘I’m going to run for president.’ He said that!”

The Pegula family ended up buying the team at a bargain price, Smith said.

Trump reflected on his Bills bid on an episode of “Bussin’ With The Boys” earlier this year.

“I don’t think it was a very hard run, but I gave them a $1 billion guarantee, so that’s always serious, right?” he said at the time.

Trump was a major owner of the USFL’s original New Jersey Generals in the 1980s, which happened after he tried to buy the Baltimore Colts. He has also expressed interest in buying the Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots.
