Steph Curry isn’t too happy about the Warriors’ two-game losing streak against two undefeated teams – the Spurs and Nets.
Following Golden State’s 128-120 loss in Brooklyn, Steph got serious about the team, while remaining as optimistic as possible.
“I think in everything, you have to look at the bright spots at the beginning of our season,” Curry said. “The last two games have left me very sad. We’ve given ourselves a little cushion with the new kind of thinking we’re trying to create [offensively] regardless of who is on the bottom.
“We are still playing with 12 guys, and you have to be able to adapt no matter how dangerous the combinations are. To move the ball, everyone is involved as a checker, as a passer as a dribbler. I think we can be more intentional about what kind of shots we want to make with a particular program. And that’s part of the growth of the team, we all have to be willing to make those changes.”
As has been the case all season, the Warriors struggled when Steph was not on the field and scored 18 points.
Poor defensive decisions and poor football that resulted in them scoring 26 points didn’t help the situation either.
Buddy Hield has had a hot start with his new team this season, but has cooled off a bit lately, leaving the team with no chance to find a strong second baseman if they break down.
Steve Kerr was asked about his minutes strategy for his star player, but he didn’t seem willing to go back to the drawing board.
