Three men were arrested by police in Nashville after an alert citizen called 911 to report seeing men at the top of the AT&T Building on Sunday.

Just before 5:00 p.m., a witness called the police after seeing three men who appeared suspicious on top of the imposing building commonly referred to as the “Batman Building” due to its resemblance to the caped crusader.

“Yes, ma’am. I’m at Garth Brooks’ bar down here, and we’re looking at the AT&T building. And there’s three people at the top of the AT&T building, like all of them in the tower section. ‘looks like they should be there and it’s Sunday.

Police said officers were able to see men in the building with binoculars. A thrill seeker has been spotted near the building and another is lying on the ground in the circular AT&T logo.

One of the men told officers that he had heard that the AT&T Building was “the best place to see Nashville,” so he went inside and climbed the stairs to the roof.

“This case is a great example of an alert citizen SEEING SOMETHING suspicious and SAYING SOMETHING to the authorities. We all benefit from being vigilant,” said Nashville Metropolitan Police Public Affairs Director Don Aaron.
