Netanyahu criticizes the investigation into his office’s leaks

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has strongly criticized the ongoing investigation into alleged leaks from his office.

In a video message sent to X on Saturday evening, Netanyahu spoke of a “witch hunt” against him and his staff.

He also said that the purpose of the recent indictment of people allegedly involved in this case was to harm him and the Israeli citizens who support him.

Netanyahu did not provide further details, however.

According to Israeli media reports, the suspects in this case are accused of passing classified information with the intention of harming the state of Israel.

In his video, Netanyahu called the allegations “ridiculous.”

Israel’s domestic intelligence service Shin Bet, the military and police are involved in the investigation, according to Israeli media reports.

Israeli authorities arrested several people earlier this month for allegedly leaking classified information from Netanyahu’s office.
