New Tech Platform Helps Legal Immigrants
It’s no secret that America’s immigration policy is in dire need of a high-tech overhaul. Many of the online immigration tools until now have been clumsy, and that often leaves legal immigrants bemoaning long wait times, conflicting instructions, and an unhelpful web presence for things like green card renewals or family applications. Now President-Elect Trump is promising massive deportations when he takes office for his second term, and it’s more important than ever for immigrants to get their paperwork in order.
“Immigration, legal immigration should be efficient and accessible and accessible to everyone,” said Yasaman Soroori, founder and CEO of Consulta, a new platform with AI that offers high-tech solutions for those immigration problems. It is thought to be the first online platform dedicated exclusively to helping legal immigrants navigate America’s complex immigration landscape. Their mission is simple; combining technology and personal support, hoping to bring order and affordability to a complex and expensive process.
And Soroori says their immigration process is much easier and less expensive than seeing an immigration attorney. “Once the user has found us on our website and goes to the platform,” he explains, “they can choose the service that is specific to them, answer a simplified questionnaire, upload the necessary documents, we will take care of their passport photos And that’s it.”
As the immigration debate heats up, Consulta is gaining more visibility; it has many high-profile backers, including the founder of Venmo. Currently, services include green card renewals, family visa applications, and citizenship assistance. It’s all part of using AI to deliver a simpler immigration experience.
“We always talk negatively about immigration, but we don’t focus on legal immigrants,” said Soroori. “And we wanted to give them a stress-free, affordable option for more people to follow.”
