Giants general manager Joe Schoen didn’t seem ready to commit last week when he spoke to reporters as the team had a bye week. However, as game day approached, New York seemed to make a change. It is unclear whether it will be a one-off deal.
“Yes, in general, it’s not just – I understand the question, and you want to get him out, but everyone,” explained Schoen. “Everybody has a hand in this. I know I’m the quarterback and the offensive coordinator, the head coach, people like to point to those guys in general. Daniel made some good plays, there were some plays where he could have looked at the throw. back or done things differently. But, in general, it’s not somebody one or the other situation that keeps happening, unfortunately.

“We’re 2-8. Everyone needs, including me, to look in the mirror again [see] how we can do things better, and, again, that is what we will continue to do. I understand that you want to ask about Daniel, and the quarter area. That’s what comes with the territory, especially in this market. And, it’s not all for one person.”
Jones has gone 3-13 in the games he’s started since the team signed him to a four-year, $160 million extension before the start of last season, and many fans say his starting time should end.
He has 2,070 passing yards and eight touchdown passes to go along with seven interceptions.
