Taylor Swift and Gracie Abrams Friendship Timeline Through the Ages

Gracie Abrams she called herself Swiftie before she became friends with him Taylor Swift.

Shortly before they met, Abrams received a call from an unknown number inviting him to Swift’s birthday party. She immediately called the same producer to confirm the digits belonged to Swift before responding in an effort to avoid getting her hopes up if she wasn’t a pop star.

Swift then invited Abrams to be one of the opening acts for her The Eras Toura three-hour concert featuring all of his past albums.

“[It was] the best experience of my life,” Abrams revealed at the concert during an interview with December 2023 Variety. “Having that become a part of my weekly routine for four months straight has come out in every aspect of my life, not just how happy I am inside, but the songs we’ve been making.”

November 2022

Swift announced that she will be touring for the first time in four years, commenting on Instagram that she was “enchanted” to share that Abrams is among her opening acts.

April 2023

Abrams made him The Eras Tour for the first time in Houston, he performed a selection of his greatest hits.

July 2023

During Swift’s time in Cincinnati Seasons stay, Abrams’ set was canceled due to inclement weather. Swift, who entered the stage earlier than usual, then invited Abrams once more Aaron Dessner on stage for a special performance of “Ivy.”

“He is one of my dearest friends and I love him very much. We’ve never performed together before, so I wanted to get Gracie out on stage,” Swift said during the show, noting Abrams’ “I Miss You, I’m Sorry” is one of her favorites.

“I really have no words,” Abrams replied.

November 2023

Shortly after the first US leg of the The Eras Tour concluded, Swift invited Abrams to dinner in NYC. They were photographed walking on the Lower East Side on November 13.

Later that month, Abrams confirmed that he would join Swift for her 2024 concerts in Canada.

December 2023

“Happy birthday I love you so much I always talk about it,” Abrams wrote on Instagram on Swift’s 34th birthday, alongside a selfie taken by the 12-time Grammy winner.

May 2024

Abrams thought about him The Eras Tour experience during the appearance The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

“It’s a real class to watch him do what he’s doing,” the singer told the broadcaster Jimmy Fallon. “I felt like I was in college with this project. I watched all his programs that I was lucky enough to open. I was watching from every position on every field, just trying to figure out how he’s able to do what he does.”

Days later, Abrams announced his upcoming series Our Secret The album, which featured the title track “Us” featuring Swift.

June 2024

In interview no BillboardAbrams recalled watching Swift put out a fire in her NYC apartment while they were together. The cause of the fire was a candle that they both heard fall, although Swift thought the noise was made by one of her cats.

“He was a legend – I don’t know how he knew at this time or in our state what to do,” he shared. “We both had bad coughs from the fireman’s smoke for weeks.”

The evening included a performance of the song “Nathi” from Abrams’ album Our Secret and Swift playing songs from her records Ministry of Victimized Poets. Abrams revealed that the celebrity photos of him lying on the floor while Swift gave a thumbs up were taken after he started listening TTPD the song “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.”
