RFK Jr. calls on ordinary Americans to support the policies of the new Trump administration: ‘the reform team is yours’

Just a week after former President Donald Trump won the presidency, a new administration quickly formed, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. he asks ordinary Americans to make suggestions about what policies and people should be put in place.

To make this easier, close associates of Kennedy have created a website called “People’s Policies” that allows people to nominate, recommend and vote for the leaders and policies they want to see from the Trump White House.

Amaryllis Fox, who served as President Kennedy’s 2024 campaign manager, tweeted that “President Trump and RFK want your policy suggestions,” adding that “MAGA x MAHA [Make America Healthy Again] the reform team is yours.”

The website says the proposals will help fill 4,000 appointments across the executive branch.

“President Trump asked Bobby [Kennedy] to help ‘drain the swamp’ by giving him an influential leadership role in his reform team,” the text on the website says. “But Bobby can’t do this alone, so now he’s turning to the wisdom and training of his supporters – and the greater community.”

“Unlike the backstage deals of previous presidents, MAGA/MAHA [Make America Healthy Again] The transformation team will draw directly from our vision, the people,” another part of the website said.

There are twelve categories on the website ranging from “America’s health” to education, the economy and the environment. Anyone can register on the site and propose a policy or person for a senior branch role. Nominees that receive the most votes by users are pushed to the top of the suggested list.

To date, more than 70,500 people have registered on the site and there have been almost 10,500 policy proposals. The nominees’ proposals for the new administration range from the Department of Defense to national intelligence to health.

Mark Gorton, a New York-based executive and Kennedy partner, is one of the driving forces behind the website. He explained to Fox News Digital that the purpose of the People’s Policies forum is to create a way for Americans to become more involved in the political decision-making process beyond just voting.

He believes the platform has the potential to help not only the Trump administration but can also be used by state and local governments to better understand the concerns of their citizens.

“In the past, we had a system where most of the interaction with the government came from lobbyists and most of the bills in Congress, most or all of them, were written by publishers,” he said. “So, the idea is that this can be a tool for the people in the government so that they don’t rely only on the representatives.”

Although the People’s Policies field covers many areas of policy, Gorton said, like Kennedy, his primary focus is on health policy. He chaired the “American Values” political committee that supported Kennedy’s bid for the presidency until he resigned to endorse Trump in August. He shares many of Kennedy’s concerns about corruption within government agencies such as the FDA and CDC, which he believes have serious conflicts of interest with the companies they are supposed to regulate.

“We tell people, ‘If you vote, you’ve done your job.’ I think in a country where, you know, with a healthy democracy, you have an active, engaged citizenry that’s not just voting, but also involved in, you know, policing in very objective ways,” he said.

While Gorton said “taking back control of health care agencies and making them work for the American people” is a good slogan, he believes the People’s Policies platform can help achieve that goal.

“It’s one thing to say a big slogan like that. It’s another thing to slowly go through the guts of each of these agencies and, you know, go through the minutiae of what it takes to fix the system. And that’s exactly where this big, crowded pool can help with that,” he said.

The People’s Policy Forum is also getting the endorsement of longtime health advisers in Republican circles. Avik Roy, a Republican health policy veteran, told Fox News Digital that he thinks the Policies for the People platform is “a bad idea.”

“A lot of times these changes can be internal issues,” he explained. “So, if you can democratize that and make it easier for highly trained people who aren’t connected to Washington, I think that’s great.”

When it comes to health care in the US, Roy said his biggest concern is that the FDA rule makes innovation more difficult and, by extension, more expensive for Americans to get treatments and medicines.

But to Dr. Charles Fagenholz, a holistic health practitioner appointed to the platform for the role of health advisor, the problem goes even deeper. Fagenholz, who runs a popular online health forum called “In The Trenches,” is one of the site’s top nominees. He told Fox News Digital that he believes the reforms being discussed by Trump and Kennedy are much needed and will have a huge impact on American health and on ending things like chronic illness and ADHD and learning disorders among children.

“We are the most advanced medical society in the history of this planet, and we are the sickest country. That is obscene,” he said.

Although he believes there is much people can do at the individual level to improve their health, such as buying groceries, drinking spring water and exercising, he said “we need a big change at the government level.”.”

He agrees with Kennedy that there is massive corruption within government agencies, such as the FDA, and believes that the No. 1 issue affecting the health of Americans is American food, which he said is full of dangerous chemicals and pesticides.

“The food that people eat is poisonous, and these three officials or book companies, as you call them, are the main reason why it is so poisonous,” he said. “Taking something like high fructose corn syrup or artificial sweeteners and dyes, things like that, out of our food and making food real and probably going to be the biggest bang for our buck as a healthy country..”

When asked, he said he would be happy to advise the new administration on health policy. His view is that “we have four years to do as much as we can and that’s full steam ahead.”
