A new way is needed to pray auschwitz

Germany needs a new approach to its commemorative culture, Chancellor Robert Harbeck said on Sunday to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.

Writing in Berlin’s tagresspiegel newspaper in an article published on Sunday, Habeck, the leader who will lead the greens in the February 23 Election, was paid for the work done because of the Nazi-in ERA crimes in the past decades.

“But we stand today before a renewed task to keep the tradition of remembrance alive, to keep it awake, under new conditions,” he wrote.

Habeck wrote: “In many ways we live in a time of change.

He noted that few of the perpetrators of the Nazi crimes were still alive, and that only a few victims were still able to testify. Memory and Horror were mixed together with the parents or grandparents of people today.

“Furthermore, our country has for a long time been home to millions of people with an obligation to emigrate, who have no biographical link to Germany’s responsibility for the Nazi past,” Habeck wrote.

History has been distorted, with few checks in the process. “A new approach is needed to ensure the need to remember and explain the ‘repeatable’ message,” he wrote.

The Red Army liberated the most famous concentration camp, where millions of Jews were killed, as well as prisoners of war, in January 1945. “Auschwitz” has since become a Nazi atrocity.
