-8°. That was a cold wind this morning in Springfield. It’s days like these that make me wish spring had arrived. Sadly, we are only in the midst of this arctic invasion.
Thank you, I believe today was the coldest day we will experience at this stage. Both Monday and Tuesday are forecast to be warmer, but only slightly. First, we have to get through the cold night.
Nighttime lows will be near sub-zero. I have Springfield forecast at 2°. Funny enough the last temperature was that cold in the Ozarks 365 days ago.
The sound forecast for the morning hours is expected to be bad before gradually warming up during the day. High temperatures will rise into the upper 20s and lower 20s. Fortunately, the winds will not be as strong tomorrow as what we experienced today allowing the actual feeling to climb out of the single digits.
Something worth mentioning, tomorrow evening there is a chance for us to get a little snow as the cold front pushes south and strengthens the arctic cold.
Tomorrow night will be a bit colder as it will be in the evening. Single digits decrease with temperatures approaching zero. Sunny skies return on Tuesday as highs are locked in the low 20s.
Go ahead and mark lonely Wednesday on your calendar as a day to look forward to. Temperatures will eventually exceed freezing Wednesday afternoon. Taking about a 100 hour streak below 32°.
With the exception of tomorrow’s snow, our chances of rain this week look slim. Warming up for the weekend as temperatures in the 50s will be known on Saturday.
