Incoming ‘border czar’ Homan previews ‘well-planned’ deportation operations under Trump
Less than two days before President-elect Donald Trump returns to office, “border king” Tom Homan has shared ideas for the administration’s deportation plans to address the border crisis and illegal immigration.
Incoming The Trump administration is looking to arrest illegal immigrants across the country as soon as day one, as top officials say they are ready to “untie the handcuffs” on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
“They’re going to be targeted for law enforcement,” Homan said on “Fox News Live” Saturday.
“When ICE comes out, they’ll know exactly who they’re looking for, very well where they’re going to find them. It’s a well-planned operation. They’ll probably know who’s in the house, including the children. This is a well-planned law enforcement operation.”

The Wall Street Journal reported that authorities are planning a major raid in Chicago on Tuesday, targeting those with criminal backgrounds in particular.
“President Trump has been clear from day one, from the campaign to today, that he is going to protect the border and he is going to do deportation work. There must be consequences for breaking our laws,” Homan told trustee Mike Emanuel.
“President Trump has had it. He has no patience. We will begin this work. We will fulfill the mandate that the American people have given him.”

The administration has promised more deportations, as well as increased border security. Officials said they intend to target those with criminal records and charges, but reiterated that they could arrest anyone in the United States illegally. There are currently more than 7 million people on ICE’s detainer docket.
“We’re going to go back to the most secure border in my lifetime that President Trump had during his first administration, but this time, we’re going to finish the job. If you protect the border, you save lives,” Homan argued.
Homan also talked about the expected backlash “holy” cities. which refuses to allow state and local law to honor ICE detainers – calls for ICE to be notified when illegal immigrants in custody are released.
“How many young women have to be raped and killed and burned alive until the holy cities understand this? It’s about public safety,” said Homan. “Every elected person whether you are a mayor or manager or city council your first job is to protect your community, help us come to the table and help us. We are not asking you to protect your community. Let us be immigration officials. Please help your communities to be safe from those who are here illegally.”
