Thousands of left-wing protesters descended on Washington to protest Trump’s inauguration

Thousands of women and mostly female protesters flocked to Washington, DC to protest the inauguration of President-elect Trump on Monday. However, the crowd is only a tenth of the half million who turned out for the “Women’s March” in 2017.

Saturday’s march, renamed “The People’s March,” took place in three different locations with protesters representing many left-wing causes and showing solidarity with the new administration.

This morning, a kick-off event took place in Franklin Park for “gender justice” and body autonomy, and protesters marched through the city before heading to the Lincoln Memorial for the day’s main event.
