Ryan Reynolds Writes a Loving Tribute to Deadpool Halloween Costumes

When it comes to celebrities and Halloween, many inspiring topics focus on who is wearing what (for example, it’s a cosmic coincidence that both Janelle Monae and Heidi Klum wore elaborate ET costumes this year). However, one famous celebrity made waves not only because of what she wore but what she said about other people’s outfits. Ryan Reynolds took to X (formerly of Twitter) to praise those who are different Deadpool and Wolverine costumes and reenactments he saw on Halloween, describing the experience as “a dream come true–but a dream you didn’t know you were dreaming.”

Ryan Reynolds was very successful in his praise of the different Deadpool costumes he saw that night and he seemed impressed that he created something that resonated with so many different people. He admitted the fact that “I don’t care if I don’t care about things like this” and he wore his heart on his sleeve about how much everyone loved his films made him feel. The main thrust of her message was gratitude: “no part of me takes it for granted or feels I deserve it,” she wrote.

To read Ryan Reynolds’ account of Halloween night, the killer Deadpool costumes he saw were just the beginning of what made the night so special. “You won’t know what it’s like if you’re me,” he said, describing this as the fulfillment of a childhood dream. “I’m five years old, staring out the window at an impossible future.” Although he didn’t make it clear, this seems to be a reference to the star’s lifelong love of the Merc With a Mouth and the fact that the world now seems to share his love for this enigmatic Marvel character.

Ryan Reynolds elaborated, however, that the quality of Deadpool’s costumes was a big part of what impressed him that night, “People are doing little movies and they’re wearing some of the best suits I’ve ever seen. we have seen.” As cosplayers, we can understand a little of her passion…it’s always rewarding to see someone else’s fancy costume, but how cool must it be when that killer costume is a tribute to you. yours hard work?

Continuing, Ryan Reynolds described both types of Deadpool and Wolverine the costumes he saw that night and how the people wearing them were able to take things to the next level by “quoting lines and doing stunts like that.” Part of what made the film so memorable (besides the brilliantly profane humor, that is) was the small number of Deadpool Variants we’ve seen, and it feels like those variants have spilled over onto the silver screen and into Reynolds’ place. He wrote that he saw everything from “Little KidPools to GeezerPools.”

If we were to make any bets, Ryan Reynolds’ was probably more excited to see Kidpool than anyone else Deadpool and Wolverine characters. This is because the actor was portrayed in the hit movie by his youngest daughter, Inez Reynolds. Bringing him and his wife Blake Lively into the film (playing Ladypool) helped make this official MCU debut a family affair; now, things have come full circle, and it sounds like the family story is now a sham in her neighborhood.

Even if you (gasp!) don’t like Ryan Reynolds or Deadpool, it’s hard not to smile when you read his reaction to seeing everyone’s costumes. The star seems understandably proud of the epic Marvel film he helped create, but he’s also very grateful to everyone who helped make it a blockbuster hit. Deadpool himself may be full of tricks, but for the man behind the mask, Halloween was full of nothing but treats.
