Kate Middleton says her cancer is gone, thanks to hospital staff – National
Kate Middleton has confirmed that her cancer is gone, using social media posts to share the good news and thank the staff who cared for her during her treatment.
In a message posted on Instagram on Tuesday, the Princess of Wales shared that “we have a lot to look forward to.”
“It’s a relief now that I’m in remission and I’m still focused on recovery,” the 43-year-old royal wrote.
“As anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. However, I am looking forward to the coming year,” he continued.
“We have a lot to look forward to. I thank everyone for their continued support.”
The post follows Middleton’s visit on Tuesday to the Royal Marsden Hospital, where he received treatment following his diagnosis.
“I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the Royal Marsden for taking such good care of me over the past year,” she wrote in her post, paying tribute to the “exceptional” care she received during her diagnosis, saying “I couldn’t have asked for more.”

He announced that he will now take part as a joint assistant to the Royal Marsden and hopes to “save more lives” by “supporting basic research and clinical excellence, as well as promoting patient and family health.”

During a visit to the hospital, Middleton spoke with cancer patient Katherine Field, who was undergoing chemotherapy, and was happy about the experience of cancer treatment.
“It’s really difficult. It’s very shocking,” he said of his illness, which he revealed to the world at the beginning of 2024. “Everyone said to me please have a positive attitude, it makes a big difference.”
He added: “When I came in everyone said make sure you have all your warm (clothes) on,” as chemotherapy rooms can often be cold.

Middleton announced last March that she had been diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer and would undergo chemotherapy. Otherwise, he has kept the details of his cancer and treatment a secret.
In September, she said she had finished chemotherapy and was focusing on “being cancer-free,” but admitted it had been a challenging year for her family.
“Life as you know it can change in an instant and we had to find a way to navigate stormy waters and an unknown road,” he said in a video shared on social media in September. “Above all, this time reminded me and William to reflect and be thankful for the simple but important things in life, which many of us tend to take for granted. Just by loving and being loved.”
