Travis Kelce Says Filming Happy Gilmore 2 Was a ‘Heavy Load’ of Work
Travis Kelce shared a review of his first film Happy Gilmore 2.
The Kansas City Chiefs, 35, said on Monday, January 13, ESPN’s episode. The Pat McAfee Show that he has “several scenes” in the future Adam Sandler comedy and that recording was a “heavy load” of work.
“That was a dream come true. I thought It’s SNL it would be a milestone in my acting and show or entertainment career. The collaboration with Happy Gilmore himself, Sandman and Happy Productions, was over,” he added Variety.
Kelce revealed that working with Sandler is no different from working with the Chiefs coach Andy Reid.

“They are professional and a pleasure to work with. “I felt like I was working with him like the Andy Reid of the acting world,” he said. “[Sandler] everything is as cool on screen as he is on screen. That was a dream come true. That was good.”

NetflixSpeaking about the idea that he might appear in the film, Travis said: “Man, I didn’t even know there was a job opening. Happy Gilmore 2.”
Travis added that he’s a “huge Sandman fan” and would jump at the chance to appear in a film with Sandler, but said that in the end it’s all “conspiracy theory.”
“I’ll be—I’ll add… whatever I can Happy Gilmorean Adam Sandler movie or set — count me in,” he added. “I will do anything in the film. I will be a part of it in any way possible.”

A few months later, in August 2024, Sandler confirmed that Travis would appear in the film.
“Travis … said it, so we have a great Travis thing,” Sandler, 58, said. The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The actor celebrated Travis, adding, “He’s a very good man. You would love him in real life. A big, handsome man. Funny and cool as hell. He’s a teacher and he’s funny.”
