Former Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama was already a featured star in this year’s Sony Open field, but then he came out and won the season-opening Sentry, outscoring the best players on Tour in the program.
Now he hopes to make it a Hawaii Swing-sweep in a row to start the 2025 season.
After starting the opening round late Thursday, Matsuyama will begin his second round on the home side, which begins Friday afternoon at 12:50 pm ET, and will be joined by Sahith Theegala and Russell Henley.
