Donald Trump Jr is taking his own trip to Greenland after the president-elect floated the country
Donald Trump Jr. is expected to travel to Greenland on Tuesday after his father, President-elect Trump, expressed interest in US “ownership and control”, Fox News Digital said.
A source familiar with Trump Jr.’s plans. told Fox News Digital that the son of the president-elect, who is traveling alone, will arrive in Nuuk, Greenland, at noon on Tuesday to meet with local people, visit cultural sites and More.
“As someone who has visited interesting places all over the world as an outsider, I am very happy to stop in Greenland for a little fun this week,” said Donald Trump Jr. he told Fox News Digital.
A familiar source told Fox News Digital that Trump Jr. “you’ll go on a quick all-day trip to shoot some fun podcasting video content.”

“He won’t be meeting with any government officials or politicians,” a source told Fox News Digital.
The trip comes as President-elect Trump seeks to buy the mineral-rich, geographically significant land.
American interest in Greenland dates back to the 1800s.

In 1867, the State Department considered buying both Greenland and Iceland, recognizing its strategic importance, Fox News reported. After World War II, Denmark rejected a $100 million offer from President Harry Truman for the island.
The land acquisition would mark the largest expansion of American territory in history, surpassing the Louisiana Purchase.

But the Prime Minister of Greenland, Mute Egede, said last week that the country did not care.
“Greenland is ours,” he said. “We are not selling, and we will not be sold. We must not lose our long struggle for freedom.”
