Included tee times for round 4
With 18 holes remaining in the first PGA Tour event of 2025, two golfers are cut above the rest.
Both Hideki Matsuyama and Collin Morikawa shot 11-under 62s Saturday at Kapalua to reach 27 and 26 under, respectively, four shots better than anyone else in the field.
As our gambling expert Brady Kannon noted in his column earlier this week, Matsuyama’s performance should come as no surprise, as he is not only a top-level Bermudagrass player but also had previous success at another PGA Tour Hawaii staple, the Sony Open, winning there. in 2022.
He is now on the verge of PGA Tour win number 11 after matching the PGA Tour record 54-hole in relation to the division. But he will have the redhot Morikawa on his tail after both players matched the shot put on Saturday, with Matsuyama carding a career-best 11 birdies and Morikawa picking up nine and an eagle.
In Sunday’s round, Matsuyama will play at 3:08 pm ET along with Morikawa and Belgium’s Thomas Detry.
