Pat McAfee lights up Colts following bad loss to Giants, eliminated from playoff hunt
Former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Pat McAfee blasted his former team on Sunday after watching them get eliminated in the playoffs by the New York Giants.
Indianapolis had three turnovers and allowed four Drew Lock touchdown passes in a 45-33 loss. The Colts dropped to 7-9 on the season and are officially out of contention.
McAfee wrote a fiery piece on the X, criticizing the organization, ripping those who tried to run him out of town and announcing that he would not be renewing his season tickets.

“A blind man can see the red flags in this team.. Questions about efficiency, NEVER happens to good teams.. Questions of commitment, NEVER happens to good teams.. Late to meetings, NEVER happens to good teams. Skipping treatment, NEVER happens to good teams.. Franchise QB (Anthony Richardson) came out of the game.. on 3rd down.. in the red zone.. because he was tired… NEVER HAPPENED in NFL history,” wrote McAfee.
“That’s all you have to tell someone (who knows football) and he can tell you everything about this team…”
He wrote that if a franchise quarterback leaves in the middle of a game because he’s tired, the “instant response” will be that the team “has no chance.”
“And surprisingly no one.. that was the response of everyone who played/coached the game before but.. Colts blogs and fans who have been talking about the Colts since 2020 and recently know better than anyone… They started attacking me personally. and trying to run me out of town,” McAfee continued.
BAKER MAYFIELD’S 5 TOUCHDOWNS KEEP BUCS PLAYHOPE ALIVE IN WIN OVER PANTHERS
“When I said Joe Flacco gives us a better chance to win than AR immediately after he came out. I was saying any backup QB we had on the roster. That’s not going to be what the face of your team is doing. . . . and for the most part, somehow the -AR thought it was right to do that.. that is a matter of culture.
“I don’t know how they fix it.. I don’t think it’s like a light switch. “Okay, we’re going to be professionals now” but… maybe it is, but what do I know?
“Oh wait…..how will this be accomplished. I knew that.”
McAfee added that he will not be renewing his season tickets and hopes the team returns to its winning ways.
“As a multi-season ticket holder (non-renewable).. and someone who has tried diligently, every day to be a part of this great city. I hope they become a great business and.. this city deserves them.. the OGs in the Colts building deserve (the managers , coaches, tickets, PR, sales) .. and on the flip side the players / coaches in that building deserve whatever happens to them which is not worth bragging about, laziness, and lack of technology has led you to ANOTHER early vacation… which is probably what most of you titled bums have been waiting for.
“I don’t speak for the city .. and I don’t speak for all Ex Colts players because I was only a punter. ‘I’ve never seen a team waste more opportunities/talent/money than this team.’
