‘Yellowstone’ star watches ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ for Christmas as Hollywood shares its holiday traditions

The holiday season is here and Hollywood’s biggest celebrities are ready to celebrate.

“Yellowstone” stars Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser recently sat down with USA Today to share their favorite parts about the holiday season and the special ways they celebrate with their families.

“I love Christmas. I find it very magical. I love winter and being around the fire and cooking with my family,” Reilly told the outlet. “I love ‘It’s a Wonderful Life,’ of course, who doesn’t? Then every year I take my nieces and nephews, and we go to see ‘A Christmas Carol’ at The Old Vic in London, a stage production. It’s great. .”

Hauser also tapped into his favorite Christmas movies that he enjoys every year with his children.

“It should be ‘Christmas Vacation.’ We’ve been doing it for 20 years,” he explained. “A Christmas Story with Peter Billingsley. When they were young they loved that movie.”

Supermodel Cindy Crawford told People that her Christmas traditions with her family have changed over the years, adding that “we tend to keep going” every year, but not before making sure to “always put up a tree and do a little decorating.”

As her children have grown, Crawford explained that she has realized that the holiday is “about being together without stress,” admitting that she has learned not to get stuck in traditions “because every year is different than the last year.” He added that sometimes they celebrate Christmas a few days later.

“Luckily, both of my kids tend to want to be with us a lot,” the proud mom told the outlet. “But they also have partners or whatever, so sometimes you don’t get a date. Then we’ll be saying, ‘Okay, so we’re going to do Christmas three days later or two days earlier. And, I wasn’t hung up. that it should be on the 25th.'”

Speaking to Fox News Digital, Jennifer Love Hewitt said her favorite holiday tradition is making tamales with her family on Christmas Eve, something she’s been doing since she was a child growing up in Texas with her grandmother.

He explained that keeping the tradition alive in his adult life is a way to “honor” his grandmother and help him “feel really close to her.”

“And I make sweet chili, you know, go ahead and whatever. So we do that. We also do Brian’s. [Hallisay] It’s a Christmas cocktail… And it’s like a tradition he’s made since we met,” he explained. “And it’s our thing that we have… when the tree is finished, and it’s like we’re happy to say something. . everyone did a great job and the kids get Martinelli’s or something. And we have that family time to be proud of our tree. So that’s really cool.”

While he may not call himself a chef, Hewitt told Fox News Digital that he’s lucky to be “surrounded by family members like these great chefs,” including his sister and late grandmother, who still use the recipes.

Although the Kardashians are known for their lavish Christmas party every year, Kim Kardashian told Vogue that the family will be hosting a smaller event this time around.

“Because we have a big construction project going on, so we’re making a really close family that I’m happy about,” Kardashian said. “We still dress to the nines, because that’s what we do.”

Ryan Seacrest is known for his busy schedule, so he’s ready to take a break. The “Wheel of Fortune” host told Fox News Digital that “my favorite holiday tradition is relaxing.”

Similarly, “Saved by the Bell” star Mario Lopez is looking forward to spending time with his family during the break.

“Just being at home, I don’t have to take a plane, everyone comes to Castle Lopez to relax, take it easy, watch football, watch movies, eat, drink and be lazy. I don’t do anything. I can’t do that, so I’m looking forward to it,” said Lopez he told Fox News Digital.

Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar said it’s “his favorite holiday tradition [is] hitting the beach in Maui or Cabo when everyone is cold.”

Former “Top Chef” host Padma Lakshmi told the AP that she hosts her “whole family at home” where they all appear to be wearing very comfortable pajamas and “roast a lot.”

About five years ago, Candace Cameron Bure started getting up early with her family on Christmas morning to watch the sunrise together.

“It’s a great way to start our day, and it really puts us… in the spirit of the true meaning of Christmas and thinking that this is the day we celebrate the birth of Christ,” Bure told Fox News Digital. “It’s a great time with our family, and we get into all the different Christmas celebrations.”

Bure’s friend and Great American Family actress, Danica McKellar, spends Christmas every year with her family, especially her son, Draco. She makes holiday crafts, including marzipan ornaments, which we “paint with food coloring,” and making “candy seedlings … snowmen, and popcorn garlands.”

“It’s a big Christmas dinner. That’s No. 1, getting everybody together. And for several years I made a chocolate Yule log cake,” McKellar told Fox News Digital. “I’m not a baker. I’m bad. I don’t know what it is, but there’s one thing I do, which takes me… four hours.”

This holiday season will look a little different for former “Baywatch” star Nicole Eggert, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2023.

“Well, we like to hang out a lot. This is pajama day. This is what you feel like doing. Sleep until you feel like it. Eat when you like.
