A Georgia homeowner was arrested after trying to get back into his home
A Georgia homeowner was arrested and charged with trespassing after trying to get back into his home, which was reportedly occupied by homeless people, according to WSB-TV.
“Seeing this woman enter my mother’s house while I was in a police car, there is something wrong with this picture. There is something wrong with this picture,” the owner of the house, Loletha Hale, told WSB-TV.
The incident happened on December 9, after Hale reportedly returned to his house to clean up after a judge ruled in his favor in his months-long battle with alleged squatter Sakemeyia Johnson.
Police said, according to WSB-TV, Hale “unlawfully removed and forcibly removed Ms. Johnson’s belongings.”

“I spent the whole night on the carpet on the concrete in bad conditions. While this woman, this woman was sleeping in my house,” Hale told the outlet.
The police confirmed to the judge that Hale did not have a “signed warrant,” which would allow Hale to legally remove Johnson.
“He just held back. He was with this guy, so I closed the door. I locked the door, then he forced himself and told us to get out,” Johnson told the police about the incident.
Hale told the newspaper that he thinks Johnson left the house after his successful trial in November.

In 2023, there were 198 civil court cases involving stabbings in the Peach State, according to the report.
