Kasparian of the ‘Young Turks’ blasts the possibility of Harris becoming governor of California
Ana Kasparian of “The Young Turks” blasted her boss when she suggested that Vice President Kamala Harris could be the next governor of California, whether one likes it or not.
As some liberals continue to mourn the victory of Harris, who was chosen by President Donald Trump, others discuss the future of the vice president in politics. DNC fundraiser Lindy Li mocked the “hoax” of Harris “running for governor of California, maybe in 2026,” but others thought it was possible.
“I think Kamala Harris might win the governor in a cake walk,” “The Young Turks” producer Cenk Uygur argued Thursday.

“No! No!” Kasparian called out to his partner. “What are you doing? What are you doing?”
“I’m telling you the truth, whether you like it or not,” Uygur replied. “Democratic voters in California like to listen.”
“I’m going to move, Cenk! I’m going to quit my job,” Kasparian said. “I will quit my job, and I will go.”
“I’m not saying I’m in favor of it,” Uygur replied. “I tell you what, if they, the Democratic Party, say, ‘We’re nominating Kamala Harris,’ the majority of Democrats in California are going to say, ‘Yes! We’re listening. We’re going to take the oath of allegiance. no matter how bad it is!’

“This state can’t survive another Democrat who can’t lead it,” Kasparian said. “No, we can’t.”
“So, people are pressuring him, OK? Obviously, he’s kind of in wait-and-see mode,” Kasparian said.
Kasparian then looked into the camera, as if speaking directly to Harris.
“How can you wait and see, like, your way out of public life? And go do what you have to do. Go work in the private sector. Go do a lobbying thing — whatever it is. But don’t run. As governor of California.
