ICE arrests nearly 1k illegal aliens on day six of Trump administration
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) made nearly 1,000 arrests on Sunday, with many of the operations taking place in the southeastern United States, according to various ICE offices.
The agency said the police arrested 956 people and took 554 prisoners, which means “there is reason to believe that the person is being removed from the United States under federal immigration law.”
The ICE field office in Miami, Florida, shared information behind five of the detained aliens – three in Florida and two in Puerto Rico.

Two of those arrested in Puerto Rico were citizens of the Dominican Republic, and one was charged with domestic violence and the other was charged with driving under the influence.
A Nicaraguan man was booked into the Broward County Jail on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, illegal carrying of a concealed weapon, discharging a firearm in public and driving with a suspended license.

A Jamaican national charged with possession of oxycodone, displaying a firearm during a felony and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license has been arrested, while a Mexican national in the Martin County Jail has been charged with traffic offenses and multiple DUI convictions.
“#ICE protects America by enforcing US immigration laws to maintain national security and public safety,” the Miami office told X.

Since President Donald Trump took office last Monday, more people have been deported every day, with more than 400 people arrested on the first day.
“Removing criminal aliens from our communities is not just about enforcement – it’s about protection. Ensuring the safety and security of our neighbors starts with law enforcement,” the Atlanta field office said.
