The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has been accused of allegedly changing the previous job title of the former division chief, Federal Donald (Dei) employees were placed on paid leave.
“ATF defied @ reldonaldstrump’s order to put dei workers on leave, instead gave their dei chief a new title. They are attacking citizens’ rights, they can go above and beyond the law. Time is up. Time to end ATF!” Republican missouri Rep. Eric BurLison posted on X.
The ATF, a federal law enforcement agency under the umbrella of the Department of Justice, previously employed Lisa T. Boysity as its chief diversity officer before its ATF website title was changed this week to “ATF. -ATF reviewed by Fox Digital Shows Boykin was listed as a top divorce official as day one – and now it’s showing that it’s working as Agency Office “and now.”

The next day, the office of management (OPM) told agency and department leaders to begin closing dei offices and putting dei employees on paid leave.

“Send notice to all employees of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) offices that they are being placed on paid administrative leave immediately as the agency takes steps to close/terminate all DEIA programs, offices and programs,” OPM’s order, obtained via Fox News Digital, Read.
Boykin’s biography from 2023 details that he began working as ATF’s Human Resources Division in 2016 and “as a joint employee, in 2021,” said Mrs. Boykin.
“Continuing the Bureau’s focus on Dehancing Deaia, Mrs. Boykin currently assumes the role of CDO in a full-time capacity, leading and implementing the Department’s plans and strategies to maintain the bureau’s informed Deaia culture,” Boykin’s bio added.

When asked about the change of subject and the subsequent criticism of the communications, an ATF spokesperson said that the agency followed dei directives from the Premp Administration.

“The ATF began implementing the first OPM guidance on Denia immediately after its release on January 21, 2025, in response to the President’s executive order. We have taken the necessary steps to ensure compliance with this guidance,” ATF spokesperson told FOX News Digital.
FOX News Digital asked for clarification on whether Boykin’s new title protects against administrative leave but did not immediately receive a response.
FOX News Digital also reached out to Boykin on his Atf email and received an automated response noting that he was not available to respond.
“I am currently unavailable and unable to retrieve emails at this time,” the email read.
Media analysts and critics of the Biden Administration’s feed-in programs were called out by the ATF employee’s title change on social media, using the agency’s “orders of the Trump Administration.”

Biden has been divided on diversity efforts under his administration, rolling back initial Trump Administration policies that blocked federal agency diversity training during his first week in office in 2021.
