Chris Pratt Says Ex Anna Faris’ House Burned Down During LA Fires

Chris Pratt gave an update on his family amid the ongoing LA fires, revealing the ex-wife Anna Faris‘ the home burned down.

“Okay, I’m going to check my house. It’s holding up miraculously,” said Pratt, 45, in an Instagram video uploaded on Wednesday, January 22. “By the grace of God, we have four walls and a roof.”

Pratt said he would “check out the town,” noting that he had not been back to his home since the Palisades fire.

β€œIt really hurts, as you know. The silver lining is that my house was saved but, at the same time, many people’s houses near us were burned and the community is no more,” he continued. “My son’s school is gone. My son’s mother’s house has burned.”

Pratt shares a 12-year-old son Jack with Faris, 48, who he was married to from 2009 to 2018. After they broke up, he moved on Katherine Schwarzenegger. Pratt and Schwarzenegger, 35, tied the knot in 2019 and have welcomed three children. (Faris married a photographer Michael Barrett in 2021.)

“It’s been a tough couple of weeks, but we’re strong,” Pratt said in a video caption. “Praying for LA and all those affected, we will face this together. The king bless you.”

On January 7, a strong windstorm caused by the eruption of Santa Ana caused fast-burning brush fires that quickly spread to Los Angeles. The fires are 70 percent contained, and more than 23,000 acres of land have burned, as of Wednesday. 27 people have died as a result of this fire.

Celebrities have been speaking out after the damage, sharing information about their homes, some of which were burned to the ground. Pratt is one of the lucky ones whose house is still standing. Earlier this week, Nina Dobrev he spoke candidly about “survivor’s guilt” after his home survived one of the fires.

“I put myself in the shoes of all these people whose homes were burned and their belongings, their memories, everything that made them feel safe in a world that is now gone, and their insurance has abandoned them,” said the actor. Instagram video on January 19. β€œFor some of them, the scale of the tragedy is immeasurable and really hard to understand. They lost everything.”
