NBA postpones Bucks-Pelicans game due to historic snowstorm in New Orleans

The NBA postponed the game between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday due to the snow storm that affected the area.

As the storm dropped almost a foot of snow, it made travel difficult as the normally warm city was not ready to deal with the weather.

The Buccaneers flew into town on Monday to beat the Hurricanes, a day before they would have flown in to face the Pelicans.

But with temperatures remaining in the 30s on Wednesday, many major roads in the metro area were closed by authorities and roads across the city were still covered in snow.

Schools and businesses across the region remained closed Wednesday, with Louis Armstrong International Airport canceling all commercial flights due to the weather. With those things in mind, the NBA postponed the game, with no date set for the game to be played.

The Buckeyes’ next game is against the Miami Heat back in Milwaukee on Thursday at 7:30 pm ET.

After that game with the Heat, the Bucks will go on a West Coast road trip, starting Saturday, and don’t have another home game until Feb. 2.

The Buccaneers are next scheduled to play the Pelicans at the end of the regular season at home on April 9.

On the other hand, the Pelicans are scheduled to play on Friday and Saturday, making it difficult for the NBA to schedule a postponed game soon.

The Pelicans have struggled this season as they are 12-32, which is the second best team in the Western Conference.

The Buccaneers have enjoyed more success than the Pelicans, and are 24-17, good for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
