Trump made his presence felt during a college football game

President Donald Trump had a taped message for college football fans tuning in to ESPN to watch the national championship game between Notre Dame and Ohio State on Monday night.

Trump was inaugurated as the 47th president of the United States earlier in the day. Although he has gone to national competitions as president before, he could not attend as it was his first day back at the White House. He still seemed to have a game on his mind.

“Hello fellow Americans. This was a historic and exciting day for our country. Over the years, our people have suffered a lot, but from now on, we will take America back and make it safer, richer and prouder than ever,” said Trump.

“We will have a nation full of compassion, strength and diversity. With our strength and power, we will stop wars, and we will bring our world to peace. We will be respected again, and we will be accepted again – the admiration we have not had in many, many years. We will put America first, and in doing so, we will make America great again.

Trump expressed the happiness he has seen throughout the country since he won the election against former Vice President Kamala Harris. He also had a message for the players competing in this game.

“In less than three months since the election, you have already seen it happen. You can feel the excitement, and you can see the confidence and spirit returning to our nation. Together we will lead our state to greater heights. America’s golden age has just begun.

“To all the players and fans watching tonight, I know it’s been a long and hard journey. It’s been a long season, but you have two great teams, and you come to the game and come out and fight hard and fight evenly and let the better team win and I’ll enjoy watching it, and good night.
