Steven Weber Shares Thoughts on Tim Daly Wings and the Chicago Med Crossover
Steven Weber again Tim Daly no longer play the TV brothers, but Weber would happily reunite with his ex Wings costar is on Chicago Med.
Weber – who plays Dr. Dean Archer on the NBC drama – you already have an idea Chicago Med a story line that would be funny and embarrassing for Daly, 68.
“It would be great if he came like him,” Weber, 63, said to himself Us Weekly of Daly while promoting season 10 of Chicago Med.
The actor teased that in his dream scenario, Daly “suddenly finds himself in Chicago and I have to operate on him. And she keeps saying, ‘God, you remind me of someone,'” pointing to their previous connection.
Weber joked that whoever Daly played in the fantasy Med episode, his character, dr. Archer, “she would have to have a humiliating operation, like a colonoscopy.”
The One Chicago star noted, “It would be great” to have Daly come to a medical session, noting that they would have to discuss that possibility.
Weber and Daly previously played brothers Brian Michael Hackett and Joe Montgomery Hackett, respectively, Wings.
The comedy ran for eight seasons – from 1990 to 1997 – and focuses on Brian and Joe as they try to run an airline on the New England island of Nantucket. Actors are also included Crystal Bernard, David Schramm, Rebecca Schull, Tony Shalhoub again Thomas Haden Church.
Weber has previously stated that there is a “slight” chance that he and Daly will reunite Wings meeting on camera. “We are there all around, so if the community really wants that [then, maybe],” he teased when he appeared in March 2020 Speech.

“There are other factors that affect his stay,” Weber said of Archer’s decision not to leave the Emergency Department after successfully saving Sharon Goodwin’s (S. Epata Merkerson) life during the season premiered earlier this month.

(Archer previously submitted his resignation letter under Goodwin’s door during the midseason finale in the fall of 2024. At the time, he was unaware that Goodwin had been stabbed by someone who had followed him into his office and was fighting to stay alive.)
“This incident really affects him, and it affects him emotionally,” Weber said, referring to Goodwin nearly dying at his work table.
He added that while Archer’s career is currently secure, he will have “surprises to come” in his life.

Weber said Us that Archer’s “connection” with doctor Hannah Asher (Jesse Schram) will also be a major part of the remaining episodes of season 10.
He called Archer Hannah’s “father or brother.” “There’s something he’s not used to that he’s never … seen himself face,” said Weber.
He concluded that Archer and Asher’s relationship is complicated, especially now that Asher is dating Dr. Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell). “He wants her to be happy, but he also feels protective of her,” Weber revealed.
