David Axelrod says Trump returns to office ‘victor’

David Axelrod said President Donald Trump is returning to Washington “victorious” during an appearance on CNN Sunday night ahead of Monday’s inauguration.

“If you think about the way he left Washington four years ago, there’s no way you could imagine what the conditions are like,” the CNN political analyst said. “He left disappointed, he has come back as a winner, that’s the feeling of this.”

“I think there is a lot of dissatisfaction in the country, a hangover from this epidemic, inflation and people really wanted to give this angioplasty,” he added.

Axelrod also described the upcoming opening as “historic.”

“Whatever you think of Donald Trump, you have to admit that this might be the most surprising political comeback in American history,” he said.

“The question is how you will show yourself and how you do it,” he added. “So is he going to bring the kind of relief that people want or is he going to just hit a solid base on public issues while people’s everyday lives don’t change much. That’s going to be a challenge. for Donald Trump.”

Trump’s return to politics has been called the biggest in modern history.

Four years later the Americans shot him in the White House, and he left Washington on the ground following the Jan. 6 Capitol, they took him back to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

“It’s a political victory the likes of which our country has never seen,” Trump said.
