Brittany, 29, attended the Kansas City Chiefs’ playoff game against the Houston Texans on Saturday, January 18, less than a week after giving birth to the couple’s third child. She was seen kissing her husband Patrick, also 29, before the game, wearing a camel-coloured coat with the number 15 emblazoned on the pockets.
Meanwhile, Patrick took the field with his teammates at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, for the Chiefs’ first playoff game of the 2024-2025 NFL postseason. The team was ranked No. 1 in the AFC, earning a bye week during the wild card tournament last weekend.
Patrick’s suspension coincided with the birth of his third child with Brittany. The pair, who are parents to daughter Sterling, 3, and son Bronze, 2, announced on Instagram on Monday, January 13, that their daughter Golden was born the day before.
“•Golden Raye Mahomes• 1/12/25🎀✨,” they captioned their baby’s feet.
After the Chiefs got a bye week, Patrick told the media that he vowed that he would get an opportunity so that the couple could focus on welcoming new players.
“I told my pregnant wife that I will get seed number 1 so that we can have that child,” he said in December 2024.
At the time, Patrick revealed that Brittany was due to give birth “any day now.”
“Brittany says I’ve been putting a lot of pressure on her this season,” he said. “So, I have to try not to put pressure on him with these football games – and say goodbye.”
Patrick added, “Hopefully, God works the right way, and we can have that kid in the bye week somewhere. After that, everything will be fine. “
Patrick also revealed that Brittany will support him in the postseason despite his full schedule of commitments.
“MVP because he will enter [to the playoffs] and you will crush it,” he burst out. “We will have three children, and I can take a long break to focus on playing football and raising those children.”
Earlier this month, Patrick revealed that he was able to prepare for the playoffs while he and Brittany waited for the birth of their child.
“It was nice that football was on TV when I was in the hospital, so I got to watch a little,” he said in a press conference. “Brittany was kind enough to let us watch football as she prepared to give birth to our second daughter.”
