Tommy Lee Criticizes Artists Developing Their Careers Amidst LA’s Mournings

Tommy Lee he wants to say something to other musicians.

The Mötley Crüe drummer shared an Instagram post on Tuesday, January 14, targeting artists promoting their work on social media amid the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles. Thousands of people lost their homes and were left homeless as a result of the fires that have ravaged the LA area since January 7.

“It makes me sick to see so many people just care about lame social media posts!” Lee, 62, shared. “Guys right now nobody gives a flying fk if your record drops or the next concert is when most people are in the middle of the biggest disaster ever!”

“I find that the relief of humor is permanent [needed] but Jesus Christ, leave the ground and maybe stop and see who needs help if you can,” he added, although he did not mention the names of certain artists.

Lee isn’t the only star to call out celebrities for their work on social media this past week.

on tuesday, Kelly Osbourne called out celebrities who he thinks are using wildfires to get attention.

Although Osbourne, 40, did not mince words, she criticized the “disturbing” trend of celebrities continuing to write about how they are helping victims of the bushfires, which have so far killed 25 people.

“Am I just being too self-centered, self-critical or is it really disturbing to see all these celebrities using other people’s pain and suffering as an image to say, look, ‘I’m helping, I’m doing this, I’m doing that?'” he asked in a video posted on TikTok.

“I don’t believe that he helps because he gets attention for helping, I believe that he helps because he wants to. I’m confused, I think it’s wrong,” he continued. “No one asked you to come out and hug me, go home.”

Osbourne’s comments come as celebrities around the world are donating their time and money to bushfire relief efforts. Many have done so publicly, sharing their photos and videos willingly.

A host of celebrities, incl Beyoncé, Paris Hilton, Jamie Lee Curtis again Eva Longoria donate money to organizations that support wildfires. As of Wednesday, January 15, fires in the Palisades and Eaton neighborhoods of LA have damaged or destroyed more than 12,300 properties, according to CNN. That includes the homes of many celebrities, including Hilton, Mel Gibson, Anna Faris again Billy Crystal.
