LIZ PEEK: Biden keeps putting lipstick on his presidential pig. You won’t believe the results
NEWNow you can listen to Fox News articles!
Apparently it occurred to President Joe Biden or, more likely, a member of his party, that the American people are not very impressed with his performance in the last four years. Therefore, the White House made a last ditch effort to convince the country that his presidency was a success. Like a frustrated high school teacher trying to cram information into the dense skulls of his students, Biden keeps hitting voters with absurd and completely delusional flattery.
The country does not buy it; if biden puts lipstick on his presidential pig, his approval ratings go down.
Perhaps the final chapter in Biden’s revisionist journey, his farewell speech in the Oval Office on Wednesday night ended his presidency as it had begun, delivering witty tidbits about our nation’s humanity and portraying himself as the Great Defender of Democracy.
‘WORST PRESIDENTIAL SEARCH IN HISTORY’: SHUTDOWN BIDEN’S OFFICE IS CLOSED AS ‘BLACK’
The president led with news of an end to the fighting between Hamas and Israel. Clearly upset that the American people and the Israeli news services are thanking President-elect Donald Trump and his Middle East ambassador Steve Witkof for success, Biden reached victory, citing 8 months of his non-stop negotiating team. Since those efforts went nowhere, most think Hamas responded instead to Trump’s credible threat that there will be “Hell to pay” if the hostages are not released by Inauguration Day.
Biden has touted some of his administration’s accomplishments, including the dubious claim of “creating” 17 million jobs (much of which were already lost jobs due to the COVID shutdown) and reducing violent crime by 50 years (which remains closed.)
However, much of his speech focused on the threats America faces, including an anonymous “oligarchy” of “excessive wealth, power and influence that threatens our entire democracy.”
He also criticized the need to get “black money” out of politics and revisited his views on requiring the rich to pay their share of taxes. This is applause from someone from the leader of a political party that just blew more than a billion dollars from a loser and a president who just gave George Soros, the personification of extreme wealth, power and influence, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
BIDEN SAYS LEAVING TRUMP ‘A STRONG HAND TO PLAY,’ DEFENDS HIS RECORD IN AFGHANISTAN
Biden warned against “false information” and the “tech industrial complex”, clearly threatening that he and his fellow Democrats are no longer able to control the flow of information in the United States and that the technology industry, led by tech entrepreneur Elon Musk. met with Donald Trump. He also warned that climate change remains an existential threat, blaming global warming for recent hurricanes in North Carolina and wildfires in California.
The Oval Office speech followed a foreign policy speech earlier this week, in which Biden said his administration is leaving the Trump White House “with a strong hand to play. And we’re leaving America with more friends and stronger allies, whose adversaries are weaker and under pressure. Without a catastrophic withdrawal in Afghanistan, the suspension of the amazing Abraham Accords, Beijing’s troubling cooperation with Russia and North Korea, and the collapse of leftist governments in across Europe, Biden says “America … is leading, bringing countries together, setting the agenda, rallying others behind our plans and ideas.”
Americans disagree, judging Biden’s impact on “the position of the United States in the world” to be worse than any recent president except George W. Bush, according to Gallup.

Americans remember that when Biden took office, the world was at peace and our enemies – especially Iran – had been defeated. Now Ukraine is at war with Russia, there is a war in Sudan and due to the Biden White House failing to enforce sanctions on Iran, Israel has faced a multi-country war in the Middle East. Regarding our participation in the institutions of globalism, millions of Americans question the importance of agreements like the Paris Climate Accord, for example, which require huge economic sacrifices from the American people and almost none from China, the country that pollutes the world the most.
Biden also wrote a letter to the American people two days ago, which served as a review of the farewell address, contradicting his case and returning to the many half-truths and distortions embedded in his review. The President often describes the country as being on the brink of collapse when he took office. It’s not fair.
He writes that the US was in the throes of “the worst economic situation since the Great Depression”; that’s not even close. The economy was growing at more than 6%, jobs are coming back strong and inflation was 1.4%. In addition, consumer confidence, despite the COVID pandemic, stands at 79%, a figure that has not been reached in the past four years. Those are the facts.
There is no need to fall back on the president’s economic myths; people know they are no better than they were when biden took office.
Despite all of Biden’s dreams, the nation is not moving. Biden’s approval ratings have hit record lows, despite recent public appearances from the former president. According to FiveThirtyEight’s analysis, only 35.6 percent currently approve of Biden’s performance, which is less than the 38.6 percent received by president-elect Trump. after the January 6 protests at the Capitol.

Even worse, a recent CNN poll showed 61% of the country viewed Biden’s presidency as a failure, while 38% viewed it as a success.
The good news is that the American people are paying attention and they no longer believe in Joe Biden. They judge Biden on his record as a bad president, even as Democrats and their allies in the liberal media tell them otherwise. This is why they elected Donald Trump and why they will be celebrating the end of the Biden era on January 20.
