Justin Baldoni is suing Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds for defamation
Justin Baldoni is suing Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds for defrauding the public, defamation and other acts in a lawsuit filed Thursday.
Baldoni accused Lively of harassing her, her family and co-workers in a lawsuit filed in the Southern District of New York and obtained by Fox News Digital. The actor asked for a mistrial and a judgment of $400,000,000.
Lively first accused Baldoni of sexual harassment after the two starred together in the Colleen Hoover adaptation of “It Ends With Us.” Since the film premiered in August, Lively has again accused Baldoni of participating in a deliberate campaign to smear her.
However, Baldoni – along with Wayfarer Studios, Jamey Heath and others – paint a different story in the case of the actor himself.

“Plaintiffs now have no choice but to fight back armed only with the truth — and a wealth of concrete evidence that refutes Lively’s allegations,” the court documents read.
“Sadly, the film that Baldoni thought years ago would honor survivors of domestic violence by telling their story, with the lofty goal of making a positive impact on the world, has now been overshadowed beyond recognition by Lively’s actions and brutality. .”
Baldoni’s legal team said Lively had no evidence of a deliberate smear campaign and instead worked to repair her reputation by accusing the actor and others of sexual harassment.

“But Lively couldn’t bear her tarnished public image for even a moment, and she couldn’t accept that it was because of her,” the lawsuit reads. “He needed a scapegoat. And instead of admitting and taking responsibility for his mistakes, he chose to blame the Plaintiffs, in a way that is unfair and unforgivable to the public.”
“When he and Reynolds were unable to force Baldoni and Wayfarer to read a statement prepared by him and his representatives, forcing them to ‘answer’ to defend Lively’s actions, he waited for months, preparing to publicly attack Baldoni by lying that. he had sexually assaulted her.”
JUSTIN BALDONI CALLS BLAKE LIVELY’S CLAIMS ‘FALSE AND FALSE,’ LAWYER SAYS NEW LAWSUIT WILL DESTROY THE TRUTH
Baldoni’s legal team included text messages, emails and more as “hard evidence” supporting the “Jane the Virgin” star’s claims.
“This lawsuit is a legal action based on a large amount of undisputed evidence that describes Blake Lively and her team’s efforts to destroy Justin Baldoni, his team and their companies by spreading organized, unsubstantiated, new and doctored information to the media,” Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, said in a statement sent to Fox News Digital. “It is clear based on our willingness to provide all of the full text messages, emails, videos and other written evidence shared between the parties in real time, that this is a battle she will not win and will regret. Blake Lively may have been grossly misled by her team or willfully misrepresented the truth.” “
“Ms. Lively will no longer be allowed to continue to exploit real victims of real abuse to gain her reputation at the expense of the powerless,” the statement continued. “Let’s not forget, Ms. Lively and her team tried to damage their reputation and livelihood for selfish reasons by manipulating the media before taking any real action. We know the truth, and now the public knows it. Justin and his team have nothing to hide, the documents don’t lie.”
A representative for Lively and Reynolds did not immediately return Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Detailed allegations of sexual harassmentretaliation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence and more by Baldoni and film producer Jamey Heath in the first complaint filed in the California Department of Human Rights and later in federal court.
According to the complaint, obtained by Fox News Digital, the actress called an “all hands” meeting on January 4, 2024, regarding Baldoni’s alleged behavior with Heath, a meeting her husband, Reynolds, attended.
“Ms. Lively was forced to address concerns about Mr. Baldoni’s and Mr. Heath’s misconduct with them directly, and began doing so months before filming began,” the complaint reads. “The complaints she raised were not only about her, but also about other female actors, some of whom had spoken.”

Following Lively’s case, Baldoni too sued the New York Times by defamation.
However, Lively’s team noted that her allegations are “supported by concrete facts.”
“This is not a ‘conflict’ caused by ‘creative differences’ or a ‘said’ situation,” his lawyers told Fox News Digital. “As stated in Ms. Lively’s complaint, and as we will testify at trial, Wayfarer. [Studios] and its partners are involved in illegal astrology, and to take revenge on Ms. Lively for trying to protect herself and others on the film set. And their response to the lawsuit has been to attack Ms. Lively from her file.”
