Missing woman found dead after getting into unknown car: ‘Someone knows’
North Carolina authorities on Jan. 10 found the body of a 25-year-old woman who had been missing for six days.
Heather Williams was reported missing on Jan. 4, when he was last seen in a light-colored, four-door sedan just before 10 p.m. in the area of Berkshire Road, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.
“On Friday, January 10, 2025, during a missing and endangered person investigation, Fayetteville Police Department detectives were led to a wooded area near Newark Ave and State Ave. A deceased person was located,” FPD said. in a press release at the time.
The woman has been identified as Williams, and the FPD Homicide Unit is investigating.

FPD told Fox News Digital they had no further updates on the homicide as of Tuesday, but officials will share more information as it becomes available as their investigation continues.

“Him being there at night by himself, it was a dangerous situation for him to begin with,” Mary Williams, Heather Williams’ sister, told WRAL.

Police said Williams was mentally challenged.

“I’m just asking that people out there, if they hear something or if they see something … somebody knows something, somebody talked to somebody, somebody … they get out of the way,” Mary Williams told WRAL. “So somebody has to know, and I’m praying that anybody who knows anything comes forward and we can get justice for Heather.”

Mary Williams added that her sister “loved her family and loved Jesus” and “worked really hard.”
