Sister Wives Recap: Christine’s Daughter Weighs In On ‘Quick’ Wedding

Christine BrownYsabel’s daughter had doubts about her mother’s engagement to her husband David Woolley.

Sister Wives fans watched Christine and David tie the knot on the Sunday, January 12, episode of the reality series, which also documented the reactions of their loved ones to the wedding. While preparing for the big day, Ysabel, 21, told Christine when she realized David would be The One.

“We were out on the town and he looked at you and said, ‘Oh, I love you so much,'” Ysabel said. “Like, you’re just honest and innocent. And I’ve never heard anyone say ‘I love you’ more to you.”

Christine smiled as she listened to her daughter, who then told a somewhat different story to the TLC cameras in the confessional.

“When David proposed to my mother for the first time, I thought it was very close. I thought it was very close,” said Ysabel. “But I think I’ve had time to practice.”

Christine was previously in a spiritual marriage with Is Brown for more than 25 years, announcing their separation in November 2021. Kody’s relationship with wives Janelle Brown again Mary Brown it ended quickly. He remains legally married Robyn Brown.

After her split from Kody – with whom she shares six children, including Ysabel – Christine began dating David in February 2023. He proposed two months later, and the couple exchanged vows in October 2023.

“It gave me a lot of clarity to see, like, how much they love each other,” Ysabel said in Sunday’s episode. “I’m happy and excited for them.”

When it came time for Christine to walk down the aisle, she was accompanied by her son, Paedon. “I said [him]’Should I be scared?’” Christine recalled in a confessional. “I have no fear. And then we started walking and I just looked at David, and it’s like, ‘Here’s my heart.’

Paedon fought back tears as he walked beside his mother, telling her that David was “a really good man.” He took Christine to her father, Rexjust before they got to the altar.

While thinking about Christine’s wedding day, Ysabel jumped at the “perfect” party in Utah. He went on to explain how he got to know Christine and David “to get married very quickly,” discussing how unhappy he was with the couple.

“I think I’ve had time to get to know David and get to know him, like, as a father and just as a really nice guy,” he told the cameras. “I couldn’t imagine life without him now.”

Christine’s children were delighted to see her so happy – and they weren’t the only voices of support. Janelle’s children were also on hand to help usher Christine into her next chapter.

“For the first time in a long time, it felt like the real Brown family was back,” said son Gabe, whose relationship with Kody has been rocky over the years.

Kody even expressed his support for his ex’s new marriage. “Actually where I’m at Christine is happy and that’s great,” he admitted, despite feeling “FOMO” about missing the actual wedding day.
