On Tuesday, the monitor company and the golf simulation technology company Foresight Sports introduced a new product: the Foresight Sports GC3S and a bundle of LINK-Enabled Technology, which is accompanied by the presentation of monitoring data with the Bushnell laser rangefinder to provide its first brand. course management platform. In short, the devices come together to act as a digital caddy to provide club recommendations tailored to the user’s skills based on shot data collected by the launch monitor.

How does this work? It starts with the boot monitor. Users can use the technology by performing a “MyBag” test using the launch monitor and the Foresight app. On the range or simulator, the user must hit at least three shots with each club to create a baseline of performance and inclination. Each club’s data is entered into the Foresight app. Then, the Bushnell app can integrate MyBag data from the Foresight app to sync with the Bushnell rangefinder. Then, when the user faces a shot of a certain distance on the course, he will receive two club recommendations based on the rangefinder’s estimated yardage.

“This is an eye-opening technological advancement for novice golfers who don’t always have access to caddies who can provide advice on course management,” said Foresight Sports and Bushnell Golf Head of Commercial, Chris Watters, in a press release. “Everyone who uses a laser rangefinder knows how to find a number, but they don’t always know how to use that information because that data has not been consistent with its actual operation, and knowing the yard and the pin is just one part of the information. club selection figure. LINK-enabled technology takes the guesswork and heroism out of club selection, building confidence by turning different distances into club recommendations.”

In addition to the group’s recommendations, the technology also provides advice for managing courses, including personal “play like” grades, which uses collected user data instead of standard models; “modern grades,” which take into account real-time conditions; and club scatter patterns, allowing users to view accuracy patterns overlaid on course maps.

The Foresight Sports GC3S, which includes the Bushnell Golf Pro X3 LINK laser rangefinder, is available now for $3,799. The price includes a $499 annual software subscription, which includes ball data (launch angle, side angle, ball speed, total swing, carry, side spin/spin axis) and club data (club head speed, smash factor, club method, attack) in the first year of use, and FSX Play simulator software and FSX Pro performance analysis software.

The Foresight Sports GC3 launch monitor, available for $6,999, includes everything you get with the GC3S, plus a sling bag, 2-year warranty, and 1 year of access to GSPro (golf simulation platform). An annual subscription is required for the Foresight Sports simulation and performance software included with the GC3 as a license rather than an annual subscription as with the GC3S.
