A teacher has been arrested after threatening to shut down a NJ school district, police said
A New Jersey teacher has been arrested after threatening staff and students to lock down an entire school Monday, authorities said.
Amir Doctry, a 45-year-old employee currently on administrative leave from the Montclair School District, was arrested without incident in connection with the threat, the Montclair Police Department said.
Doctry has been charged with making terroristic threats and has additional charges pending.
Police said the authorities heard about the alleged threats on Sunday and immediately began an investigation. Police did not elaborate on the threats, although they said they were made online and were “targeted at specific employees.”
