Sunset Fire: Dane Cook writes ‘truly terrifying’ letter about leaving home as flames rip through Hollywood Hills
As wildfires continue to rage in different parts of Los Angeles, including the Pacific Palisades area, a new fire broke out in the Hollywood Hills on Wednesday evening, prompting an evacuation order.
The fire, named the Sunset Fire, was reported in the Runyon Canyon area, a popular hiking spot for LA locals and tourists. The Hollywood Hills includes several popular attractions, including the Hollywood sign, Hollywood Reservoir and Griffith Park, which is home to the Griffith Observatory.
Comedian Dane Cook told fans that he and his family were evacuated after the seventh fire broke out in the city.

“Just a quick update, we had to leave Hollywood,” Cook said on his Instagram story. “Mountains, Runyon [Canyon] it burns. I have dogs. My wife and her mother are following us…just wanting everyone to know that we are safe. This is really scary. It’s unbelievable.”
Chrissy Teigen said she was “very scared” as she gave fans a glimpse of her “pack” on Instagram.
“Selling Sunset” star Chrishell Stause let fans know she was out of her Hollywood Hills neighborhood on Wednesday night.

Since the Palisades Fire broke out on Tuesday, celebrities have taken to social media to share their heartbreaking stories of loss.
In a statement sent by Fox News Digital, Billy Crystal and his wife, Janice Crystal, said they lost their house.
“Words cannot describe the magnitude of the devastation we are seeing and dealing with,” the couple said in a statement. “We are saddened by our friends and neighbors who lost their homes and businesses in this disaster.
“Janice and I lived in our house since 1979. We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that cannot be taken away. We are sad, yes, but with love. For our children and friends we will get through this.
“We pray for the safety of firefighters and first responders,” the statement said. “Pacific Palisades is a strong community of wonderful people, and we know eventually it will rise again. It’s our home.”

“I’m heartbroken beyond belief. Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should have to see,” she wrote on Instagram, alongside a screenshot of the news segment. .
“This home is where we made so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of making lifelong memories with London.
“My 11:11 Media Impact team is already reaching out to non-profit organizations today to find out how we can best support the communities affected by these fires,” he continued.
“We are committed to providing immediate help and making a meaningful difference to those who need it most. To the brave firefighters and first responders risking their lives to protect us – you are true heroes. I am so grateful for your courage, dedication, and the incredible sacrifices you make to save lives and fight this unimaginable battle. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. .
Other stars like Ricki Lake, Sandra Lee, Cameron Mathison, Spencer and Heidi Pratt and Brad Paisley all lost their homes in the Palisades Fire.
