Dwight Howard has once again weighed in on Shaquille O’Neal and said the two should “keep feuding” when it comes to that.
“I never disrespected him,” Howard said of Shaq on GAUDs Show. “But he wants to say something. There are times when I get mad and say, ‘Yo, Shaq, this has got to stop, man.’ I tried [talk to him].”
Dwight then explained how he was competing Dancing with the Stars last year he met with someone close to Shaq who suggested they settle their beef once and for all.
“For now, I would say, ‘Do we need to throw up our hands? What are we doing?’, said Dwight. “Because I’ve never – for me, the only thing I’ve done with Shaq is mimic his voice. But what else can I mimic him with? He’s Shaquille O’Neal, he’s the greatest center ever. But also, he keeps saying things about me. So it’s like, ‘Hey bro, do we need to keep arguing?’”
He continued, “That’s what I hate the most is that he always thought I was trying to be him or like him,” said Howard. “But again, if I wanted to be you or be like you, shouldn’t you take that as a compliment and show how great you are as a player or a person? I never wanted to be Shaq on any level. Now, did I want to take some things from him, his life and use it in my life? Hell yeah. I do that with Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, LeBron James, all these people. “
Shaq saw Howard’s comment and responded to X, vowing never to reveal Howard’s name again.
“The fact you think I care is funny, but I will never bring up your name again you big sensitive man, a joker who can’t take a joke,” Shaq wrote on Monday on X. “I won’t say your name again. You had a great day and now you’ve been deleted. Have a great day.”
Dwight responded to X, still saying Shaq is jealous of NBA stars.
“I know you care about me. Because an insecure ass has been hating and talking for 20 years,” Howard wrote. “You[o] This is a great lack of confidence. I hope you never bring up my name again. I have been tweeting for 52 years. And you still hate it. Now all this time you were playing. You have always been jealous. Kobe is jealous [Bryant]Penny [Hardaway], [Dwyane Wade]. Charles is jealous [Barkley] again.
“Walk around an unprotected lazy ass. I still have that long 5 Paragraph message you sent me a few years ago telling me I’m not a good person to hate. And you still do. It’s 2025 grow the hell up. and move on.”
