As firefighters battled a fast-moving brush fire in Pacific Palisades, a second fire broke out in nearby Pasadena.
Two fires force more than 30,000 people from their homes. An estimated 200 acres are now burning in the Pasadena area as firefighters battle the Eaton Fire. Eaton firefighters are moving evacuees as the fire continues.
Santa Ana’s strong winds grounded aerial firefighting aircraft, rendering them unable to fly and halting aerial bombing efforts.
