Texas State had 27 new names on the roster for the 2025 season.
That’s not really a bad thing. It’s anything but that.
The Bobcats have made huge strides under head coach Steven Trout over the past two seasons, going 47-14 overall and getting one shutout to reach the NCAA Super Regional round. They fell short of the NCAA tournament the past two seasons, but going 36-23 overall, 17-13 in the Sun Belt was no laughing matter.
Then came last season. What started as a season full of promise was filled with inconsistencies and showed a Texas State team that was never going to finish.[…]
