Texas pizzeria tips the hat to highest bidder after petty theft reveals second crime
A tragic case of a Texas pizzeria robbery accidentally revealed another victim through its hilarious viral social media post.
Stone Oven Pizza in Wichita Falls took to Facebook when tip jar money was stolen and then auctioned it off to recoup lost employee money.
The youth accused of this act left behind a cowboy hat, so the restaurant owners saw fit to use the misplaced hat and return the money.

“Last night, our team encountered an incident where teenagers stole tips from a jug… However, luckily, they left us this hat… The community of Wichita Falls is like that, and we would like to open an auction… The highest bidder on Tuesday afternoon will win this jicama- A real cowboy gig!” the post office said.
The business said all proceeds from the auction will be split equally between the three employees who lost tips.
What the pizzeria did not expect was that a good effort would lead to the discovery of the real owner of the hat, who was not one of the teenagers.
A review of the original post indicated that the same youth broke into the man’s truck and stole his hat.

“While the owners of Stone Oven were prepared to meet this man to protect our team’s wages… It was the team members themselves who decided that this man’s head looked really cold… never mind that the workers were given $50 bonuses for their dedication and compassion,” the review said, in part. .
The restaurant then boasts that they are proud of their city and the support they received following the theft.
