General Hospital has provided some unpopular storylines including those with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) – and above all, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). The fans were on fire for the last one with Sam. They started a petition, hired a billboard and even sent a truck with signs to the studio to express their anger.
General Hospital Worst Story of 2024
Our #5 worst episode of the past year is the unquestioned redemption of Heather Webber (Alley Mills). He was a killer long before his hip replacement. GH’s cleaning of the infamous Hook Killer sparked outrage among fans. To make matters worse at the regular hospital, Mayor Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) helped him with his case. After that, bringing back Steven Lars Webber (Scott Reeves) was frustrating.
Our #4 least liked plot was Kristina Corinthos’ (Kate Mansi) and Molly Lansing’s (Kristen Vaganos) storyline. It took a bad turn at General Hospital. Kristina’s antics were bad. It was concluded that the child died accidentally.
GH Worst Episodes of the Last Year
We ranked Sasha Gilmore’s retcon as Scorpio as our third worst episode of 2024. Not because we don’t like Scorpios, but because of what General Hospital did with Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers). Our #2 least favorite story was Sam McCall’s future as they were setting up the shooting of Kelly Monaco.
Cyrus Renault’s killing of Sam and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) made fans angry. General Hospital wrapping Sam’s death at the hands of Cyrus in Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) was an added frustration. But by far, the #1 worst plot on GH last year was about Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison).
