Draymond Green Points to Glaring Double Standard in Grizz Game

Draymond Green was not happy with how the referees differed in their calls between the Warriors and Grizzlies.

First, Green had a little time with Grizz rookie Zach Edey during Golden State’s 121-113 win at the Chase Center, which saw him pick up a Flagrant Foul Penalty 1 with the ensuing technical.

Draymond was asked about Edey’s ability after the game and as always he was candid.

“He’s playing in the NBA,” Green told reporters. “He plays in the NBA. Do you think he’s cute? “There you go.”

Green has previously called Edey “emotional” and criticized him heavily on his podcast. It is not surprising that this also happened after the terrible incident that happened in the court in November.

On top of the recent Edey drama, Draymond had a lot to say about the management’s treatment of him and his teammates.

“No,” Green said when asked if he got an explanation for his technique. “But it’s Draymond Green, that’s why it’s such an insult. It’s delicious. You know what the irony is? [Jonathan Kuminga]a clean elbow to the head, boom, I said, ‘Wow, update.’ I said, ‘If I blow someone, you all will review it.'”

During the game, the striker who scored four times fired three shots and said “boom” to the management team and what happened next did not surprise him.

“I wasn’t surprised,” Green said. “I got the tech to say, ‘Boom.’ I say ‘boom’ every time I do three. I got the technology to say boom.’ When did it happen? [the refs] be so above the law that you cannot say ‘boom?’

No doubt the referees will continue their efforts to keep Green quiet and behave on the field, given that he has been banned from the league more than a dozen times.

And no doubt he will continue to call it. What a joy!
