Netflix’s Fan-Favorite Comedy Series Is Your Perfect Start to the New Year

After the usual relaxation of New Year’s Eve wears off, everyone must face the same challenge in the morning: living up to those ambitious resolutions we made the day before. “New year, new me” is easy enough to say out loud, but even those who like to keep their resolutions are stuck with a difficult question: where can you learn enough to become a better person this year? Fortunately, the answer is easier than you might think. All you have to do is stream Nice place on Netflix with one lesson after another about being a better person.

A long time ago Nice place came to Netflix, impressing the NBC audience with its very different premise. We follow one character who is sent to “The Good Place” after his death even though we know full well that he does not deserve eternity in sitcom heaven. Deciding to fake it until he makes it, he decides to learn more about being a good person, but all the philosophical and moral knowledge in the world can’t prepare him for the twists and turns his death is about to take.
Nice place has been tearing up the charts on Netflix thanks to its great cast, including Kristen Bell (who is best known for Veronica Mars) as the woman seems to have been sent to Heaven by mistake. William Jackson Harper (who was in everything from Midsommar to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania) plays his ethics teacher, and their quartet is summed up He’s the Hulk veteran Jameela Jamil (who plays the gifted girl) and The Acolyte veteran Manny Jacinto. And now as a new crop of fans are checking out Nice place on Netflix, they learn that it lives up to its critical reputation. On Rotten Tomatoes, the show has an impressive critical rating of 97 percent and an audience rating (via Popcornmeter) of 89 percent. It’s an amazing show to watch for the first time and even more rewarding to revisit, and the show’s amazing and compelling storytelling stands out in an era where many shows (especially those chosen for live streaming) are canceled before they finish their run. .
