Donny Osmond credits the late Elvis Presley with one piece of advice he received as a child
Donny Osmond recalls the best advice he received from the “king” of rock ‘n’ roll.
Osmond, 67, recalled the words of wisdom from Elvis Presley, who touched him as a child.
“I remember when we were talking to Elvis the other day, our family even. He said, ‘If I can do it over and over again, I will get closer to my fans,'” Osmond told people.

“I was 14 years old when he said that. And it really, really influenced me that such a big guy, you know, ‘the king’ of rock ‘n’ roll, says he wishes he could get closer to his fans ’cause he was isolated that’s one of the reasons why I did it, because that came from ‘the king.’
In 2017, Osmond opened up about meeting Presley on the ITV show “Lorraine” and that he was “a very nice man.” He added that Presley reminded him of the importance of being a “real person.”
Osmond went on to explain how he’s taken a more modern approach to social media in 2024 and said he’s “really enjoying” interacting with his fans as he reflects on his incredible music career.
“Can you imagine what I would do with social media and ‘Puppy Love’ dates?” he commented.
