Bill Maher shreds woke ‘lunatics’ on the left in WSJ Interview
Bill Maher made it clear how he feels about the “lunatics” of the Democratic Party in an interview with the Wall Street Journal on Saturday.
When asked why he mocks the left more than he used to, he replied, “You’re right because he gives me material. I’m a comedian. I’ll go where the gold is.” Maher expanded on his comedy, adding, “I think comedy is one of the best ways to get to the truth, maybe the best, especially in politics,” and “When someone laughs, it’s not voluntary. So you can make the audience agree with you whether they really want to.”
The narrator replied “But those who are awake, don’t laugh so often.” Maher agreed, replying, “This is one of the problems I have with the left. They can’t stand a second of hearing something they don’t agree with. Not that the right doesn’t do it, too, but the left does it worse.”

Maher also touched on how his liberal friends can’t stand the fact that he invites conservative guests, like Ann Coulter, on his show. “‘I had liberal friends who couldn’t stand that. Just imagine what this is,’ Bill takes a dramatic pause, ‘people who hate me for what I won’t hate,’ he repeats, ‘People who hate. me who I won’t hate.’
After being asked, “Why do people on the left find it impossible to be kind to those they disagree with?” Maher responded, saying, “It’s in their psychological profile, they have this need to show goodness, and to have their friends – and I think everyone on social media – think of them as good people. ‘We’re good people. . We know who’s good and we are.’
As many speculate that Maher is considering switching parties, Maher shot down that idea, saying, “A lot of Republicans are saying, ‘Maybe we can get Bill Maher.’ No, you can’t find Bill Maher to be loyal to the left, I won’t join your undemocratic party.
Although he does not plan to change parties himself, Maher pointed out that there are voters who “don’t particularly like Trump, who don’t see many of his faults, but feel that the lunatics on the left are somehow bad.” I don’t agree with them, but I get it, I don’t hate them for voting for him.”

Maher also had some words to choose for the new generation, one of his problems with them is “they are ignorant, they have no idea. Yes, if they have gone to the top universities, that is, the—h—- factories, they have been taught this idea that they live in the worst country in the world at the worst time in history, where they live, with all our mistakes, now is probably the best, definitely without a doubt the best time in history.”
Although Maher believes that what the country needs is a symbolic “colony,” he adds that he “loves America,” and that “America does not need reform,” contrary to what some people in the political arena believe.
He believes that the Republicans will dominate the Democrats in the elections as long as the Democratic Party fails “to trust that it is this vehicle that does not understand what the people really want,” adding, “They often say, when they lose the election, ‘We didn’t get our message out.’ Yes, you liked it.

In Maher’s final statement of the interview, as if speaking to Vice President Kamala Harris herself, she said, “You lost a crazy race to a real crazy person. Congratulations.”
